Quotes of the week.

"You know the greatest thing is passion, without it what have you got? I mean if you love someone you can love them as much as you can love them but if it isn’t a passion, it isn’t burning, it isn’t on fire, you haven’t lived.”

We do not need permission to celebrate the little things when all of the big things are going wrong. Postponing a vacation isn’t going to salvage someone else’s health. Butchering an interview isn’t going to save your relationship. Sometimes you have to run headlong into the good things to help give you strength to survive the bad. Cling to them, if you have to, so you can face the other stuff. It is all these tiny triumphs that allow us to fight back when life has us down on the floor. They are the tools that give us power to evolve.
The bad things in life do not cancel out the good things unless we give them explicit permission to. But the good things need your permission to thrive and grow, too.

Ever so often we need someone else to put everything else we feel and we see in perspective because we're just not able to see it ourselves. It doesn't mean we're not capable of handling our emotions or our thoughts, but it's simply human nature.
Reading quotes always help me get through the bad times, and I especially love the ones by Marilyn Monroe (did a post on that specially awhile ago).

I've been working myself to the bone non-stop because it's my last semester in Lasalle... The projects are intense in consuming time, brain juice and I don't have trouble sleeping anymore because I'm always so tired by the end of the day. And I love it, even with the 6.30am alarms and 2am bed times. Having someone important and unexpected acknowledge that yesterday and give me that boost of support was also so amazing.

Making it count because this is my last lap, and I know if I don't give it my best shot I'm going to regret it. And I refuse to regret anything - I haven't so far.
