+66 : 11.2015 with klapsons The River Residence Bangkok

November 9, 2015

It has literally taken me DAYS to sort out the photos for this post and I gotta warn you first that it's hella long so.... Here it goes :

I've always LOVED visiting Bangkok : Mainly for the food, and the shopping. It also helps that everything is so affordable and service is usually always excellent!

It's most definitely the number one destination I'd head to if I needed a quick getaway so I've been there many, many times. I've tried so many hotels (my favourite so far being Hotel Muse) but this time I stayed at The River, klapsons Bangkok, which isn't a hotel but a serviced residence for my extended stay.

This is perfect for people who fly there often coz the rooms have a kitchenette, a living area and is basically the perfect home away from home. You can book a stay of 30 days and use it over a period of time so for those who fly over to get stocks for your business (I know many Singaporeans do so), this is awesome!

Staying here offered me a glimpse into what life is like away from the very touristy places I usually stay at and there's nothing not to love about the view, the amenities, the aesthetic, and very high security on top of all that.

I had a two bedroom suite that accommodated my parents, Cell and I comfortably. There are many other room types that can fit your needs, so you'll surely have something suitable for more friends or family!

klapsons The River Residences Bangkok has 77 units of serviced apartments from 1BR to 3BR room types for long-stay with minimum 30 days of stay.

klapsons is a Singapore brand and was the first boutique hotel in Singapore launched in 2009. klapsons, The Boutique Hotel is located at 15 Hoe Chiang Road in Tanjong Pagar.

You can even pick a pillow to suit your needs! I got myself a nice soft pillow.

Of course, the best part of staying in a serviced residence is that you can have housekeeping come by everyday which makes things so, so much more convenient!

There are also SIX beautiful pools, a sauna, a gym, and a shuttle air-conditioned ferry service that can bring you to the BTS station right opposite which connects you to everywhere! It's only a few stops away from Siam, by the way!

I was literally living in their bathrobes there and yes, they also have everything you need. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap etc. by Chopard.

I definitely got very comfortable during my stay... Just check out the shelf at the living room!

On this trip, I made my way to quite a few new places I've been wanting to try, and I'm glad I did!

Karmakamet Diner : Beautiful place, with food that wasn't bad.

I was so red in this picture coz I had some wine with my dad right before it was taken!

x

ROAST : Food met my expectations, and was plated well.

x

Mango Tango : Mango lovers unite!

x

After You : Famous for their toasts, but I preferred this panna cotta.

x

SOMTAM : As yummy as ever! I love the fried chicken here best.

x

But my main love would still be the street food!
No addresses/names for these places.. I only know how to make my way there.

x

Also visited the new Rodfai Market which is literally H U G E, and so super charming. My dad really enjoyed it.

x

I always love Bangkok's Chinatown...

x

And I spent my Halloween night there as well, all prepped up by LaSenza.

x

And here are just some shots of my other adventures...

And.. on the plane home.

Hands down my most enjoyable trip in Bangkok thus far...

And I can't believe I'm saying this, but I kinda can't wait to go back already!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post and all the visuals, have a great week ahead x
